The screencast for this post is a glimpse into what technology my fourth grade students learned and utilized during their unit on the Solar System. They were actively engaged in research, decision making, digital citizenship, technology operation, and creativity throughout the unit. Students involved in this unit have access to technology at a 1:1 ratio. They are continuing to learn how to use their computers, the internet, and how to produce creative products using applications such as Powerpoint and Microsoft Word. Their Internet access to certain Web 2.0 tools is restricted. Student work samples from this unit have been published online. During this unit students learned how to use Edmodo, Brainpop, and Kidrex.

Regina, As usual, I enjoyed reading your blog and watching your screencast. You really have done a great job incorporating your standards while providing opportunities for the students to learn to use the technology they've been given in several creative ways! I would love to see all of your solar system lesson!
